Konvas 1KCP 4M
This camera is quite a rarity--this is the only one I've seen for sale. It seems to be an experiment to design a belt-driven Konvas to reduce operational noise.
The photos and text were provided by the seller, Vladimir Savostikov...
Konvas 1KCP 4M - noiseless, designed by Research institute NIKFI and "Moskinap" camera.
This camera is the most noiseless one among Konvas type cameras. Partly, noise reduction was achieved due to the fact that belts were used in the camera and cassettes instead of metal wheel and also special bearings and cogged belt. There is one peculiarity in this camera. When you insert the cassette or take it out it is necessary to press the button for leading out the transmissive cog-wheel of cohesion. Unfortunately, there are no all aluminum cases in which the camera was produced , but only two. The rest cases are of the model 1KCP 2M. The camera itself is in very good operational status as it was used for professional shooting and was serviced regularly. But its appearance is not satisfying, it needs painting. Remember that the camera was used in work. It can be a minus for its appearance but this is plus for its reliability and abstemiosity. Lenses 18 and 22 mm has some small and hardly seen scratches , the rest lens in the set are clean without scratches , no mould or dust.
To compare the level of noise of Konvas 4M camera with Kinor 35H the first one should be much heavier, so accordingly this camera makes more noise than Kinor. Regarding the comparison of 4M with Konvas 2M. I compared the noise myself - the camera works with low noise but it seemed to me that it was not a big difference. 4M is a modernized model of 2M and while working it out the specialists were intended to low down the noise level as much as it was possible for such type of cameras and also they wanted to change the character of noise(to make it not so acute).
