Hello Chris,
The 1M is quite old now but you may find someone interested in it. Hand cranking it will make 16 FPS, but it is hard work. They are well engineered to a degree But parts from an identical camera may not fit as these cameras were hand finished in the factory. Many parts had to be filed down to fit the camera which means they are tailor made for each specific camera. You can turn the motor over with 7 volts but the consumption was at least 7 amps. Superb cameras when used with Lomo glass but it was superseded by the 2 M, a much better option. There are many still Being used but only for student type short films. The camera was designed as a newsreel camera for harsh conditions, which it does really well. The voltage regulator was not reliable and the motor was rather weak to pull a 400’ load. And it was noisy!
Regards RIta

New Member Chris Clarke saying Hello from Middle England.
I buy & sell Cameras & Binoculars. Mostly 35mm stills.
But came across a Konvas which I have purchased. Incredible piece of Engineering!
Stumbled across this web site in trying to find out some details about it.
Konvas 1M (I think). No markings on Camera but 16BT on a round motor body.
Camera, hand crank, motor body, 3 Magazines + 28, 35, & 50mm (PO) Lenses. But no power supply/leads.
Is there any way I can test it functionality without a battery? All turns over with the hand crank.
Seems the battery is the easy bit. the leads are a little more difficult to get hold of!
I intend to sell it on.
Thanks Chris
