Douglas Underdahl designed their current Nikon mount and also designed an

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=906181414-14112008>I really like the
Red One and have been awed with its capabilities (with my Lomos). I see a
few second hand ones for sale now and I will take a guess at what is
happening. Aside from the businessman that bit off more than he could chew
(speaking from experience here), I think several new owners were strictly video
guys who managed to scrape together enough to get started. They took
delivery and found out this was no run-n-gun camera like their DVX200
was....especially handheld config. Its more of a two man operation.
Those with a 35mm film background had no problem adjusting. They entered
it expecting to have to outfit it with tons of accessories. Not the
strictly video guys...they were in for a shock.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

learned much from their previous designs. A lot of their existing
accessories are heavy and a bit too robust. Ok for studio, but not for
Hheld. Their new design looks like an extension of my
shoulder. Can't wait to try that instead of the cinder block I'm trying to
balance now. Reminds me of hheld with a 435...Ouch!</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

great, their product is as killer as they said it is, and they are working

So far I have worked with three Agencies using the Red. Each
one said afterwards that they'd never go back to HD or film if they
couldn't help it. And these shoots were not without
difficulties.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
