In Europe nudity is not a big deal and there are thousands of holiday centers that cater for naturists. In the UK too there are hundreds of holiday centers which are open all year round but the weather is always against you which is why most have great indoor facilities instead. In the summer things are different. There are also hundreds of naturist beaches here, some are licenced and some not. Infact, there are two beaches only 10 minutes away from me if you are fit enough to climb down the cliffs to get there. Why do you think I have a telescope in my window!!!

The law is very clear about this and it must be similar where you live. If you take your clothes off in front of others the law determines what was your "intent". Did you take your clothes off to offend, shock, harass or cause harm to others. Which is why not many people have been convicted over here as it is so hard to prove you have been traumatised in the first place. But its all down to common sense, if you are not wearing clothes dont go near people who are clothed.

In the film industry it is slightly different. If there is a scene where somebody is naked what is the "intent" of the film maker. Is it to cause alarm/ shock, to embarrass or excite the viewer. Does it support the images in order to clarify the storyline for a better understanding of the character being portrayed. The Board of film censors who are city folk and probably rarely see a beach take a different view. They see nudity as offensive to good taste! They will certainly take a harsh view of full frontal nudity but perhaps will accept a sensitivity handled side ways shot of a nude as the intent of the film maker was not to cause alarm or offend. It seems that full frontal is the issue which is why very few films contain them and avoid the issue if they can.

It all down to that word " intent".
