Well, Rita, you know what Gordon Willis once said about "Dumptruck Editimg". So I guess if you let a thousand monkeys randomly tap on a keyboard,, maybe they can write War and Peace given enough time but what do I know, some truly GREAT filmmakers like a lot of options, Woody Allen doesn't like a lot of takes. I guess it's all up to the individual artist and the project at hand. No real right or wrong just what's best for the vision you want. I stil like single camera for most work though.	-Steve

They all seem to think that post production will save the day perhaps that is what modern film production is all about, shoot millions of feet of footage and let the editor sort it out. Fast editing needs a lot of images to play with, hence the multi camera set up's remotely controlled. They even managed to lose some lenses in the desert. Kubrick will turn in his grave!
