see the attached file !!!!

THIS IS EXACLY WHAT I WANT TO EXPLAIN !!! but my english is not so good
I had play with this all time !!!
TALKING ABOut FIX lenses :

TAKE a 65mm(call it 50mm lens for more easy for those who can t understand )
used for 4x5 inch camera
(Schneider SUPERANGULON )
and use it with a 4x5 inch film (10x12cm)
with the same lens on the Linhoff camera : DON T MOVE NOTHING !
Use a 6x7 roll film back ... this Projected image have NOT changed !!!
it is the same image ... so i only HAD Croped with my film "gate" inside the
same image projected ...
After this , Adapt a 4.5x6 back .... I still crop smaller in the Image ..
adapt it a 35mm SLR camera body
and crop smallest again .... and finally use a 35mm film movie camera .....a
16mm movie camera ...super 8
and whatever !!!!
SO, If some poeples still without understand , i had take 10 minutes of my
time , i take in my archive a IMAGE taked with my 4x5 camera and 65mm lens ,
and put it in the REAL SIZE (10x12 cm or 4x5 inch)
i do in photoshop the framing in real size too ....

The focal lenght IS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE CENTER OF THE LENS AND FILM ,
WHEN FOCUS IS INFINITE !!! so a 65mm lens have 65mm between his center and
the film when focus in infitite !

UNDERSTAND IT ??? see attached file ....
FOR THIS a 65mm is a
very wide angle for 4x5 inch
Moderate wide for 6x7
Normal for 4,5x6
Short tele for 35mm SLR
Small Tele for 35mm filming
Tele for 16mm film
Super tele for Video HD or 1.3 CCD
SUPER tele for super 8

BUT IT IS THE SAME LENS AND PRODUCE THE SAME IMAGE ....
BUT NOT THE SAME cROPPING IN THE VIEWFINDER !!!

THe problem with modern technology is than people don t understand well the
basic of Opticals Rules ....

oF COURSE THIS IS NOT IMPORTANT ... ! :))

jUST DO films !!!!

Sorry for this "AGRESSIVE MAIL" ....

bEST, TO ALL, oLIVIER .
ps: THE MAN OF THE TREE IS A PICTURE I TOOK FOR THE COVER OF THE NEXT WEEK
