The following were Russian and Soviet Film Studios, located in the many different states of the Soviet Union:

Armenfilm, Azerbaijanfilm, Belarusfilm, Georgiafilm, Gorky Film Studio, Gruziya-film, Kazahfilm, Kievnauchfilm, Kirgizfilm, Lenfilm, Lithuanian Film Studio, Moldova-Film, Mosfilm, Dovzhenko Film Studios, Odessa Cinema Studio, Pilot, Soyuzmultfilm, Sverdlovsk Film Studio, Tadjikfilm, Tallinnfilm, Turkmenfilm, and Uzbekfilm.

Although many unique movies were made in the differing states, a majority of the movies were made in the Russian language for a wider audience appeal, for showing across the entire Soviet Union.
