KMZ is a Russian lens manufacturer in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow.

 

KMZ Stands for Krasnogorskiy Mekhanicheskiy Zavod, which translated to English means Mechanical Engineering Factory of Krasnogorsk or a shorter version would be Krasnogorsk Mechanical Works.

KMZ manufactured lenses starting in the beginning of World War II (1942). They supplied lenses throughout the war and afterwards.
